Shisharan Hut, Gnisis
A poor house of a poor egg miner in a poor town. What little luxury he has found now nearing the end of his life, he finds within his flea market furnishings.
For this interior, it was a delicate balance with the mundanity required of it and the need for a small, interesting spot.
In that regard, I chose a shrine- dedicated to his late wife, he hold a memory of her by his headstand. An empty urn, purely representational of course, as the Dunmer have long since kept personal cremations.
MY PROCESS: ft. Fort Daeus
I like to start with a story first- who lives in this space? Why are they here? What do they use it for? How old is it? What has happened to it over the years?
These questions help me form the blockouts that I then refine- adding character into the space with geologic features, or furnishing rooms. I love turning as many things into caves as I can!
Though the people that populate the space are added last, they are considered first as I build the area around them.
Fort Daeus, Riften
As the Civil War marches on, The Empire stirs a plot deep within the Ratway.
Who Lives in this space?
Why, Imperial Soldiers, of course! Using bandits posing as gutter thieves as their front guard in a rarely traveled branch of the Ratway, the Empire hides itself deep within a connected cave.Â
Why are they here?
Subterfuge in a major capital is no small advantage. The fort must be kept secret!
How old is it?
Quite! Perhaps it was a fort used in the original conquest of Skyrim. Simple task of upkeep for the Empire's finest engineers.
